Breakfast in June, 2024
Oil Pastels
This still-life practice, created with oil pastel sticks, explores the balance between clean realism and the messy process of artmaking. It reflects a deliberate interplay of precise and free mark making.

The Drive Home, 2023
Acrylic on drop cloth
This large-scale painting pays homage to Middle America, featuring a drop cloth material and a color-blocked background reminiscent of a quilt. It depicts a drive through the Bowlby farm, a favorite part of my journey home, and highlights a practice of loose mark-making.

Marco's House, 2023
Acrylic on canvas
This painting, inspired by Georg Baselitz's neo-expressionist technique, was painted entirely upside down using a reference photo. The window serves as a frame, separating and highlighting the backyard imagery depicted in the piece.

Layered Map, 2021
Ink, Charcoal, Graphite
Depicting the TCNJ walkway in front of the art building, this piece combines multiple vantage points and styles. It was developed using a physical collage of found objects and observational drawings as a reference.

Liberty Collage, 2022
Photography & Photoshop
This collage is an exercise in Photoshop techniques, using photos taken at Liberty Village and Turntable Junction, once-popular outdoor shopping centers in my hometown. The selected images were combined to create an imaginative composition.
