Artist and Art Educator
As an art educator, the importance of nurturing my personal art practice is paramount. Continuously dedication to my artistic pursuits allows me to unearth personal insights that not only enrich my own understanding but also expand the reservoir of knowledge I offer my students. Engaging in my art not only hones my technical artmaking skills and deepens my comprehension of artistic concepts but also equips me with the resilience to tackle challenges, thereby setting a precedent for our students to emulate. Balancing my art practice alongside teaching enables me to remain on top of the evolving art landscape, facilitating seamless integration of emerging approaches and technologies into curriculum.

Above all, maintaining an active art practice is intrinsic to my role as an art educator. By embodying the dual roles of artist and mentor, I can exemplify professional studio practices that serve as a model for students as they navigate their own artistic journeys.
